Meet David

I learned the value of money — and hard work — at a young age.

While earning my English degree at Central Connecticut State University, I also worked full-time at a restaurant.

I was able to pay for my education, a mortgage, and eventually became a landlord in West Hartford, Connecticut. Following graduation, I decided to pursue financial planning.

I started my practice at Ameriprise Financial in 2006, joined StoneCastle Consulting in 2014, completed my CFP® designation in 2015 and founded Towerto Private Wealth in 2021.

Along the way, I've helped many clients get their finances in order and pursue their goals. That's an awesome responsibility, and one I take very seriously.

Outside of work, I teach a retirement and life planning course called Retirement Planning Today® through local adult education programs.

My wife, Amy CastelaTorres, teaches third grade at the Hebron Avenue School in Glastonbury, Connecticut, where we reside with our first daughter, Gisela, and younger son, Andre.

Amy and I enjoy travel, cooking, red wine, history and relaxing on the beach.
